Mount Evelyn WFC

Mount Evelyn's debut season of 2017 was memorable and rewarding for the most part, but there was a sting in the tail. Over the course of the home and away rounds the Rovers racked up a dozen wins and just 1 loss to comfortably ensure pole position ahead of the finals. However, it was then that the fairytale ended, as with "straight sets" finals losses to Bayswater and Waverley their premiership challenge came to an abrupt and disquieting end. A year later, now competing in Division One, there was a similar denouement with newcomers Vermont inflicting the grand final coup de grace on this occasion.
